Novo Holdings and DLG Group have formed a strategic partnership to enhance sustainable agriculture and food systems. The collaboration begins with Novo Holdings acquiring a 25% stake in Sejet Plant Breeding, a leading agricultural innovator owned by DLG Group. Sejet, established in 1947, specializes in developing high-yield, resource-efficient crop genetics, including wheat and barley. Utilizing advanced breeding technologies, Sejet aims to create robust, productive crop varieties that reduce CO2 emissions and enhance disease resistance, nutrient, and water efficiency.
This partnership will scale Sejet's business and invest in new technologies to accelerate crop development and increase its European market share. With plant breeding significantly enhancing agricultural yields and supporting climate-resilient crops, the collaboration aims to advance sustainable agriculture.
