This marks the 23rd HONOR device utilizing Elliptic Labs' AI Virtual Smart Sensor Platform™, demonstrating the success of their collaboration. The Magic V Flip, driven by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, features a modern clamshell foldable design. The contract for this shipment was signed in March 2024.

Elliptic Labs’ AI Virtual Proximity Sensor detects when a user holds their phone to their ear, disabling the screen to prevent accidental touches and conserve battery life. This software-only solution reduces device costs and eliminates hardware sourcing risks. Founded in 2006, Elliptic Labs uses AI, ultrasound, and sensor fusion to deliver advanced detection experiences across smartphones, laptops, IoT, and automotive markets.
