Wisconsin Battery Company Announces $5 Million Investment
Wisconsin Battery Company (WinBat™) has secured a $5 million investment from Infinite Power Systems (IPS), covering 87.5% of its seed funding round. This funding will primarily support the development of prototypes for WinBat's hemp carbon battery, developed in partnership with the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and the construction of a new manufacturing facility in Portage. IPS, dedicated to advancing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) solutions, seeks technologies and resources that can drive sustainability across various sectors, including agriculture, transportation, and energy.
WinBat plans to collaborate closely with IPS to explore business opportunities in the African market, utilizing its technological expertise. IPS will leverage its network and financial resources to introduce WinBat’s energy storage innovations to ventures in Africa. This strategic partnership is seen as highly synergistic, with WinBat focusing on environmentally friendly products and IPS aiming to foster prosperity and ESG solutions throughout the supply chain.
