Hytera Wins ICCAs Award 2024 With MCS Solution

Hytera Communications (SZSE: 002583), a global leader in professional communication solutions, received the 2024 ICCA Award for "Best use of critical communications in industrial, manufacturing, mining resources, oil & gas exploration" for its Interconnected MCS and TETRA Systems used by Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. (Baosteel). The award was presented at the ICCA ceremony on May 14th in Dubai. This recognition highlights the enhancement of Baosteel’s communication systems, initially relying on a 2007-installed TETRA system, upgraded by Hytera to integrate the latest TETRA technology with Convergence-native Mission Critical Services (MCS). This upgrade improved productivity and safety for over 3,000 workers, ensuring comprehensive communication coverage and robust multimedia transmission.

Hytera’s deployment included dual-mode terminals and 5G XSecure Smart Devices, allowing Baosteel's workers to utilize both LTE and TETRA networks simultaneously. The rugged radios facilitate seamless communication by automatically switching between networks, supporting private and group calls, text messages, and multimedia applications. The MCS system aligns with 3GPP mission-critical standards, enhancing communication reliability and efficiency. Dylan Liu, Hytera's Marketing Director, emphasized the company's commitment to innovation, leading advancements in multiple industries. Hytera continues to provide versatile connectivity, optimizing workflows, and enhancing safety in both daily operations and emergency responses.
