Lumenova AI Joins NIST's AI Safety Institute Consortium (AISIC)
Lumenova AI has officially joined the U.S. AI Safety Institute Consortium (AISIC), a groundbreaking public-private partnership led by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), dedicated to advancing the development and deployment of trustworthy and secure AI. Boasting over 200 AI leaders from diverse sectors, including industry, academia, civil society, and government, AISIC collaborates on research and development projects to support NIST's establishment of the U.S. Artificial Intelligence Safety Institute. The consortium's primary objective is to assist NIST in identifying proven approaches, standards, and metrics essential for the development of AI systems that society can trust across a variety of sectors.
Cosmin Andriescu, CTO, and co-founder of Lumenova AI, expressed enthusiasm for joining AISIC, highlighting the urgent need to collectively address the challenge of developing trustworthy AI. Emphasizing the importance of harmonized, evidence-based frameworks, Andriescu articulated Lumenova AI's commitment to contributing expertise in AI risk management and standards development. Through active participation in AISIC, Lumenova AI seeks to establish a new measurement science, enabling the identification of scalable, interoperable measurements and methodologies. Supported by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo, this consortium marks a significant opportunity for cross-sector collaboration, crucial in addressing the evolving challenges of ensuring AI safety as these technologies become increasingly integral to our world.
