DataTribe has declared Vigilant Ops as the winner of the 2023 DataTribe Challenge, granting them the potential for up to $2 million in seed capital investment. Vigilant Ops is a pioneering automation platform, specializing in generating, maintaining, and securely sharing certified Software Bill of Materials (SBOMs), offering continuous vulnerability monitoring, security patch notifications, and the flexibility to upload SBOMs from various sources. This victory gains prominence in the context of the Biden Administration's directives, the National Security Strategy, and Executive Order 14028, mandating organizations to secure software components vital to national security, encompassing critical infrastructure, healthcare, and financial services.

Ken Zalevsky, CEO of Vigilant Ops, expressed their pride in this recognition and emphasized the importance of scrutinizing software security and cataloging software components. The DataTribe Challenge, an annual competition aiming to unearth innovative startups in cybersecurity and data science, saw Vigilant Ops and four other finalists share over $30,000 in prize money.
