GMW-FTXT Launches World's First Hydrogen-Powered Wing Van Truck Fleet Cross-Provincial Highway Project In China
GMW-FTXT's inaugural fleet of "hydrogen-powered wing van trucks" has achieved a remarkable milestone, covering a total of 64,465 kilometers. These vehicles have distinguished themselves through their exceptional stability and safety record, boasting notably low failure rates. Equipped with the ability to travel up to 580 kilometers on a single refueling while consuming just 4.7 kg of hydrogen per 100 kilometers, they have led to an impressive reduction of 35 tons in carbon emissions. These accomplishments have been widely recognized and lauded by the logistics community in China, thanks to the substantial economic, social, and environmental benefits they deliver.
These trucks play a pivotal role in the automotive parts transportation sector, operating between Baoding City in Hebei Province and Tianjin City. This route serves as a trailblazing hydrogen highway and represents the world's first cross-provincial highway demonstration for hydrogen-powered wing vans. Beyond their outstanding performance, these vehicles are set to revolutionize the hydrogen industry by contributing to the gradual expansion of hydrogen production and refueling infrastructure along China's highways. This initiative provides a blueprint for the adoption of various vehicle types and applications for hydrogen energy vehicles throughout China, underscoring its significance in driving sustainability and fostering environmentally friendly transportation practices.
