Valoir Report Shows HR Is Not Ready For AI

Valoir's recent global report sheds light on the inevitability of AI-driven automation in HR, juxtaposing it with the unpreparedness of human resources departments. Rebecca Wettemann, Valoir's CEO, highlights significant AI opportunities in critical HR functions like recruitment and talent management, while warning of accompanying risks such as data breaches and biases. Despite this, the survey of over 150 HR Executives exposes a significant absence of policies and training necessary for the safe and effective adoption of AI.

The report identifies recruitment as a key domain for AI implementation, with nearly one in four organizations already utilizing AI-supported methods. However, it also reveals a shortage of formal policies, especially concerning the ethical use of generative AI, despite widespread experimentation by HR professionals. Wettemann urges proactive measures from HR leaders, emphasizing the urgency to develop robust frameworks that mitigate risks and optimize AI benefits. Recognizing their pivotal role as custodians of employee data and architects of organizational policy compliance, HR executives must prioritize AI policies and training for their teams and the broader employee population.
